Godless by Pete Hautman

Overall height: 207 feet
Distance from ground to bottom of tank: 154 feet
Circumference of central column: 22 feet, 3 inches
Diameter of tank: 67 feet
Volume of tank: 1 million gallons
Weight of water: 8 million pounds
Distance between legs: 24 feet

"Think about it:
What is the source of all life? Water. Where does water come from? Water towers. What is the tallest structure in most towns? The water tower. What makes more sense-to worship a water tower or to worship an invisible, impalpable, formless entity that no one has seen since Moses. And all he actually saw was a burning bush."

When it comes down to it, this story isn’t about water. And our main character, Jason Bock, doesn’t really believe the water tower is God. However, this book is about the freedom of religion. And it’s about realizing that our actions have consequences. It’s also about finding your balance when you find yourself Godless.

Due to liability reasons, we're not able to bring pre-made foods. Example: In the extreme case, if someone gets food poisoning and has to go to the hospital, the library is held responisble. If you have a recipe you want to share I'd be happy to make the copies for you, no charge.
